Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela.

Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela.

Nelson Mandela,  is he a rebel or a freedom fighter? My opinion, Nelson Mandela is a freedom fighter because he fought for civil rights.

On 18th July the year 1918 Nelson Mandela was born at Mvezo, Transkei, South Africa. Did you know that Nelson Mandela is in prison for 27 years because he fought for his people’s civil rights? The one thing is that the white people did not like it and that is why he was in prison for a long time. Nelson Mandela was released from prison on 11th of February 1990. He also waited 4 years just so he could vote in South Africa’s first democratic election. A few months later Nelson Mandela became president of South Africa but he stepped down after one term.

On the 5th of December 2013 Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela passed away at his house in Johannesburg, South Africa.

The Baby Sitters Club: The truth about Stacey

There is a girl named Stacey and she lived in New York and moved to Stony Brook where she met some friends named Kristy, Claudia and Mary-Anne. So all four of them took part in something called Baby Sitters Club. The Baby Sitters Club is where parents ring them to look after their children.  The four girls will take good care of their children until the parents come back.
While Stacey was in New York she had diabetes. One of Stacey’s friends in New York was Laine. Laine didn’t know she had diabetes so a boy named Bobby Reeder told her that Stacey was contagious and Laine believed him.  So then Laine kept staying away from Stacey and stopped being her friend. At the end, Stacey moved back to New York and was staying with Laine and they both went to a movie theater and they both said sorry to each other and became friends again.
I rate this book a 10/10,  it is interesting. I recommend this book for 9 years and over and for those who love reading the Babysitters Club books.

Urban ants

Ants
The author believes we should not pick up any junk food that falls on the pavement because to a team of researchers they think an army of ants will pick it up and they will eat it also. Some ants will soon carry it away and share it to it’s queen ant. A nts love junk food more than nearly humans.

Clint Penick come to the conclusion that some ants love junk food, they love to eat all food that contains corn, sugarcane and also processed meat. Ants prefer junk food more than just eating dead insects as will they can’t found dead insects in that area so the human junk food is something that they can eat.

Junk food is good for them because usually their natural diet are insects but they actually like to eat is human junk food thrown onto the pavement. They do not have to look for food, humans drop food and this is available anytime of the day. Ants clean the place by taking away the food to their hive.

Making Honey

Honey! Honey! Honey! The honey bee has a very special honey making stomach called a crop. This is where the bees store the nectar That they collect and gather from the flowers. Its the sugar in the nectar that the bees turn into the wonderful, juicy and delicious nectar. When the foraging honey bee has collected nectar from a flower and placed it in its crop, a process in the bees stomach turns the sugar in the nectar into honey. The crop makes the sweetness from the nectar that makes scrumptious, tasty and lovely honey.
